U’s v Thurrock (07/10/06)

Final score: 2-1

Two first half goals from on loan striker Charlie Ide gave the U's a great start, however the visitors soon pulled one back. From then on Sutton looked like they might need another goal to secure the points. An injury to the ref then held the first half up for 15 minutes. After the replacement was found Sutton tried hard to build on their lead but 'Fleet were also not giving up on getting an equaliser. The second half was a nail biting affair, but the yellows managed to hang on and secure three vital points.

U’s Reserves v Burnham Reserves (14/10/06)

Final score: 4-0

Three late goals in the first half, two from Sam Clayton and one from Jason Henry, saw the Ressies come in at the break with a comfortable lead. Ryan Watts added the fourth with ten minutes to go in the second half. Clayton also had a chance to score a hat-trick from the spot after Henry was brought down by the 'keeper, but his penalty was well saved.

The Ressies came into this match hoping to continue their current good run. A hatful of chances couldn't be converted into goals and in the end the points were shared by the two teams.

After going one down debutant Bashiru Alimi netted after some good work on the right by Matt Gray. Having drawn level the U's ended up going in at half time 3-1 down. It was a penalty and another goal three minutes later that put the game out of reach. The second half saw Sutton play out the last 10 minutes with 10 men as Alimi picked up an injury after all 3 subs had been used.

U’s v Bognor Regis (28/10/06)

Final score: 4-0

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside... An awesome performance from the travelling Amber Army saw United put four past their hosts. An acrobatic volley from John Scarborough got the U's on the board. The lead was soon increased by Warren McBean as he added his name to the list of players to score on their debut. After the break Charlie Ide, who had been threatening to score throughout the first half, managed to bag a couple and in doing so gave the U's their biggest league victory since last seasons 4-0 home win against St Albans on 15th October.
